Hi!
Welcome to my ADHD blog!
You probably want to know a bit about me, huh?
I’m a book designer and publisher living in Portland, Oregon. As you’ve probably figured out already, I have ADHD. I was diagnosed at 43, meaning I spent decades struggling with a disorder I didn’t even know I had. The contents of this blog started as a form of self-therapy after I received my diagnosis and began the work of recontextualizing myself. I needed to better understand the ways ADHD has impacted my life. So I did what I often do when I need to process things—I write! I’ve chosen to share some of my work on this site.
Why Doubly Divergent?
In addition to having ADHD, I’m also queer. Not only am I trying to navigate in a world built for neurotypical minds, I’m also doing so in a world that often excludes and hates LGBTQ+ people. It can be a lot to handle sometimes. My intention for this site is to create a space where I can celebrate all my divergencies (and hopefully share that space with others).
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you find something on this site that speaks to you. If you do, I’d love to hear about it!
